I've had this bonsai plant--which was purchased at Ikea in Portland, Oregon--for about four years. It has survived two moves, one across the country riding along with my dad, and despite my forgetfulness in watering it regularly, it has persevered. Up until we purchased the table that sits behind our sofa, I did not have a good place to put the bonsai, so it has sat in our sunroom ever since we moved here. I like that it's hearty, easy to take care of, and reminds me of one of my all time places in the entire world...Oregon. And it's nice to look at as well.
