{Joe + Molly + Pemberley} NH Newborn Photographer

Yesterday, I got to spend time with Joe + Molly, the super sweet couple whose maternity photography session I did in January, and their beautiful new baby girl, Pemberley {oh how I love her name!}. We got to try out a couple of my new cheesecloth wraps I hand dyed, plus Molly and Joe both brought cute little hats and headbands that I adored. While I did get a few shots of Pemberley sleeping, she surprised us with how awake she was. One would think that a five day old newborn would want to sleep through most of her session, but there were far too many things to look at, listen to, and explore! This tiny baby even crawled a bit in protest to being placed on her belly and amazed me by how strong her petite legs are. I would not be surprised if Miss Pemberley is a consummate over-achiever {as her dad lovingly called her}...crawling and walking early, excelling among her peers, and always taking the world head on! Despite all of our "torturing," Pemberley did amazingly well and after a marathon session, I came away with a ton of shots I love!

Joe, Molly, and Pemberley, I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon and absolutely loved working with you guys again {and getting some snuggles in with that sweet baby girl}! I can't wait to show you all of your pictures...

{Seras} New Hampshire Newborn Photographer

Today I traveled down to Hollis to meet one of the most beautiful baby girls I have ever laid eyes on! Little Seras is just a month old {still in that newborn stage} and is soooo dainty and sweet! We started off in her nursery, then moved to her Nana's house where I set everything up in front of a lovely gray wall and was able to use some amazing props {such as a fabulous basket and super cool swaddling cloth that I coveted} brought by Amanda. I also got to test out a new round wicker basket I picked up the other day, as Seras fit perfectly in it. I'd get about 15 mins. or so with Seras asleep before all of my posing would eventually wake her up. I'd then take some of her awake, she would nurse, be handed to Nana to fall asleep, and away we'd go again. I swear, I could have photographed that tiny sweetheart all day!

Amanda + Seras {and Nana}, thank you all for inviting me to photograph your amazing baby girl! I can't wait to show you the rest!

{Kara}

I'm using Miss Kara's Sneak Peek as my Photo of the Day seeing as how her mom and dad have been looking forward to these pictures, and I've been excited to share them! Kara was such a good baby the day of her shoot! She smiled, she posed, and she put up with me changing around the backgrounds, wraps, and props like a champ. You would think that after two hours of shooting she'd be completely done with all of us, yet she kept up her happy demeanor. The only time she got fussy was when her dad (or mom) kissed her on her cheek. For some reason that is just not cool, man! :o) I had a tough time narrowing down which ones to share as I have so many favorites from this session. Kara has some of the greatest expressions I've ever seen, plus she's absolutely beautiful (as are her parents)! I wish I lived closer so I could "visit" at least once a month and snap away.

I'm including a storyboard I quickly put together, although I plan to polish these up when I have more time. They're something you can actually purchase and can be customized in a ton of different ways. I love 'em!

Maybe it's because I'm a wee bit hormonal, but this picture literally choked me up when I came across it during my editing today. The love these two have for their little girl is so strong that they didn't need any direction when it came to letting me capture it. Although I still have a lot more to go through, and will do a larger "Sneak Peek" soon, I had to share this one today.

{March 5, 2011}

Today has been a long, but super wonderful day! I drove up to Maine to photograph this long-awaited, and most adorable, baby girl--and she was more than worth the drive! There will be more coming from this session for sure, however this one just had to be my photo of the day. She's rocking that cute featherband I got from Etsy that I posted about HERE, plus her eyes are to die for! Be sure to check back for the full Sneak Peek coming soon!

{January 10, 2011}

In this digital age, receiving a card or letter in the mail is like a little unexpected present that gets me all giddy. Getting one of these surprises from a client who is thanking you for your work is, quite literally, the highlight of my week--and usually longer. I cherish each thank you letter, card, and email I get, and proudly display them in my office. So when I received this sweet "Thank You" card from April & Elijah (whose maternity sitting I featured recently), I was doubly excited both in the sentiment and in seeing their adorable new son, Eric, on the front--what a cutie!! Knowing that April, who is undoubtedly much busier these days, took the time out to handwrite me a card means the world to me! I am thrilled you guys loved your pictures and most definitely cannot wait to photograph the three of you + Lucy!

{Simon}

I think I may have topped my record number of shots taken during a photoshoot with Simon, especially at the end when he crashed out on the couch in the most adorable way. He is full of spunk with great big blue eyes that peered at my inquisitively throughout the shoot. Simon probably thinks I, and his parents, are crazy with all we were doing to get smiles out of him...but he humored us and in the end we all agreed that being a super model is HARD! Simon, you are a sweetheart and Dave and Victoria, a session with you guys always leaves a big smile on my face at the end. Thanks so much for letting me capture little Simon!
