{Newborn Props + Referral Program} - NH Photographer

I am a sucker for anything that can be used to enhance my newborn photography sessions. Blankets, baskets, fabrics, and even pillows, all grab my attention whenever I'm out shopping. While I like to keep my baby photography fairly simple, I do like to jazz it up a bit from time to time. Plus, the babies look so cute swaddled in a wrap or nestled on a fluffy throw inside of a cute basket. Seeing as how I will be photographing some newborn baby girls soon, I felt I lucked out when I came across this adorable patchwork pillow and the ridiculously cute swirled roses fabric. I literally can't wait to try them both out and will be getting my first chance this coming weekend!

Next up, my new referral program has started as of the month of March! I'm very excited about this as I've wanted a way to thank my past, and all future clients, for the wonderful people they've sent my way! From now on, whenever you refer a friend and/or family member who books a session with me, you will receive a $25 credit good towards future session(s) and/or product(s). But that's not all... Your friend or family member will also receive a $25 credit as a "Welcome to my studio!" gift. It's my little way to say thank you for the recommendation and to let your friends and family members know that I value them as well! For more information on the referral program, please get in touch!

Oh...and stay tuned for an announcement about new mini-sessions starting soon...

Photography Articles

Somehow I forgot to post the link to the first published article I wrote for ADI-News.com. Shame on me. I also just had my second article published this week, so I'm going to put links to both for your reading pleasure. I plan to make this a weekly thing and promise to be better about posting the links to my articles from now on.

{Another Boudoir Write-Up}

I am honored to have had my Boudoir photography once again featured in a wonderful article! I do think more women should do this if for nothing else than to see just how beautiful they are! You can read the write-up here:

Economic Downturn Makes for Creative Valentine’s Day Gifts Like Boudoir Photography but here's a quote from me:

"As a photographer, I see all women as beautiful in some way shape or form. The problem is that they don’t always see themselves that way. So my desire, and job, is to change that focus and put them in a light that reveals just how amazing they are.”

{Boudoir Write-Up}

Yesterday, my Boudoir photography was written up in an article on the entertainment blog, KG Blog. One of my gorgeous models was featured, plus the author wrote a nice little blurb about my work and how Boudoir photography makes a great gift (it does!) and that this type of shoot can help you see just how gorgeous you are (most definitely!!). I have to admit that Boudoir sittings are one of my favorite types of sessions to do. There is something very inspiring about showing a woman how beautiful she is and watching her confidence emerge in front of the camera. And while it's true that the photographs from the sitting are always well-received by your partner, I think it's an even bigger gift to yourself! So what are you waiting for? Give me a call or send me an email to schedule your appointment today!

{I've moved...again}

It's been far, far, FAR too long since I updated my blog...and...we moved across the country over a year ago! I know, crazy right? That's what we thought too. But Ryan's job was tentative (at best) in Oregon so when he was offered a position (with the same company) in New Hampshire we decided to be pro-active and took it. To say leaving Oregon was hard would be a gross understatement. We truly loved living there, loved our friends, I was back in school and loving that, and we thought for sure that Portland would be our final stop on the moving train.

Wait.

Did I mention we had moved to Portland? I can't remember...but we did in 2007. While it was also tough leaving Bend, we really dug PDX. Portland is, and always will be, one of the coolest cities ever. My aunt (who lived in Portland w/her-now ex-husband, son, and daughter) said that Portland is one of those places that gets in your blood...in a good way...and stays there forever. She so wasn't kidding.

But now we're East Coasters and enjoying our life here. We bought a house with acreage--would have been nigh impossible to do in Oregon--and I even have chickens...and guineas...and ducks! Originally I wanted sheep but the land just isn't conducive for it as we are, quite literally, surrounded with forest. Still, it's kind of fun to play "farmer." Or would that be "poultry lady?" Either way, love it.

As for business I am still taking on clients and working with past ones. If you never got around to ordering an album or prints from me, fear not! I can still be reached at the same email address and am more than happy to get you whatever you need. So stay tuned for upcoming pics and a lot more blogging from the East Coast.

Coming Soon!

The model shoot-out on Cinco de Mayo was a huge success! We had a great time (thanks so much ladies, you were awesome) and now I just need to get everything finished up so I can launch the new site. Here is a sneak peek of what's to come...

News!

On Cinco de Mayo yours truly will be shooting some beautiful women in a very hip, very chic, very fun location! I can't reveal a whole lot as of right now, but I am so looking forward to these sessions!! It will mark the new direction I am planning on taking with my photography and am very excited to be sharing it with you all soon enough.

To go along with everything I am also re-designing the website from the bottom up. As usual this is a large undertaking and will take awhile longer, yet I hope to have it up and running this month.
Check back next week for results from this weekend!
