Yesterday, Megan and I went to Michaels to pick up supplies for a school project. We bought felt squares, googly eyes, and red feathers. Tonight, Megan and I made the sock puppets for said project and had a lot of fun doing so. Apparently the puppet character below thinks he is "awesome"--as Megan told me, so I came up with the idea of sewing a suit and tie for him. The suit part was easy (although admittedly nowhere near my "best work" as I had to sew quickly) and I love how we decided to use gray thread instead of black to make it stand out more. The tie, on the other hand, took me a bit to figure out the easiest way to do it. Once I did the rest went quickly. Hopefully the kids in Megan's class get a kick out of the finished puppets as she came up with great ideas and we both worked hard on them.
